European Silk Road Summit ’25: highlights that you don’t want to miss

The European Silk Road Summit is returning this year with its ninth edition in the bustling city of Milan, Italy. Preparations are at full speed as the conference is just around the corner. Here are some highlights to expect on November 19 and 20, and that you definitely won’t want to miss.
If you haven’t checked out the conference programme yet, you can do so here. At the same time, make sure that you won’t miss the opportunity to meet, network and discuss with Silk Road rail professionals and secure your registration here.
Moving the market forward
The core focus of this year’s conference is the strategic development of the Eurasian rail business. Participants will be able to track the latest market developments, including route and volume performance, future innovations, and shifting supply chains resulting from geopolitics and significant investments. In this way, they will be able to get a good understanding of risks, opportunities and the best way to remain competitive.
At the same time, two specialised debates will expand on those topics while keeping Silk Road rail at the centre stage. How can we maintain the viability of the Eurasian rail network in the face of increasing competition? And what is the best way to keep it as a valuable transport solution amid shifting industrial supply chains and geopolitical boundaries? Attendees and speakers will tackle those questions interactively.
Exclusive content
Apart from the conference programme, visitors will also have access to another exclusive product: the freshly printed RF Magazine. The European Silk Road Summit will be the only place where you can get your hands on the first edition of the RF Magazine.
Filled with exclusive content, the RF Magazine will include in-depth interviews, analyses written by industry experts, facts and figures and much more about Eurasian trade and transport. It is an unmissable opportunity!
Site visit and networking
The day before the conference programme (Wednesday 19 November), there will be a site visit to Hupac’s Busto Arsizio–Gallarate Terminal. A guided tour provided by Francesco Russo, Head of Customer Relations at the Swiss-based company, will also include a rooftop view of the terminal. After that, there will be an evening networking soirée at the hotel.
During the conference day on Thursday, 20 November, there will be ample time to catch up with peers during breaks between sessions. Additionally, a time slot will be reserved exclusively for business making and networking right before the closing session. And, of course, once the programme is complete, on Thursday evening, there will be networking drinks at the venue, followed by an exclusive dinner at Osteria del Binari.
