The implementation of the European Train Control System (ETCS) and the other components of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) continues to wreak havoc in the rail sector. AERRL, ERFA and ALLRAIL are now saying that things are currently worse than when there was no ETCS, as “its costs outweigh its advantages”.
